MILLER, DORIS VIRGINIA Doris Virginia was born January 7, 1924, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She met and married Richard "Dick" Miller in 1942, and proceeded to follow him all over the United States, Germany, and Guam, during their lives in the Air Force. During those years they raised five daughters. After she retired from Bank of America, Doris and Dick traveled around the US, this time for fun, in a series of motor homes. She and Dick moved to Oceanside in 1990. Following Dick's death in 2004, Doris continued her travels, including cruises, trips to her daughters' homes, to Hawaii, Mexico, Arizona, and Las Vegas. Doris will be interred at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery with Richard her husband of sixty-two years. Doris is survived by daughters: Dorothy Yarnell, Delores Schoffman, Diana Pichierri, Deborah Heath, and Donna Reed; grandchild- ren: Cori Mayes, Candi Ehres-mann, Danielle Schoffman, Todd Pichierri, Laurie Heath, Greg Heath, Christi King, Julie Haffey, and Brian Haffey, and great-grandchildren: Ciera Mayes, Avery Mayes, Lexi Ehresmann, Hali Ehresmann, Dominic Pichierri, Cody Pichierri, Maddox King, and Jenna King Published in San Diego Union-Tribune on May 1, 2011
